T-rex Comp-Nova

Description

The T-Rex Comp-Nova is a compressor pedal that uses an optical circuit to smooth out volume differences between notes. Its primary control, labeled Comp, sets the amount of compression applied, ranging from subtle leveling to a heavily squashed sustain. A separate Level knob adjusts the output volume to compensate for any perceived loss in loudness caused by compression. The pedal features a true bypass switch that preserves the dry signal when disengaged, and it operates on a standard 9V DC power supply. The optical design is intended to respond naturally to picking dynamics, allowing the compression to react smoothly without the pumping artifacts associated with some other compressor types.
