Description

The Pearl SU-19 Stereo Noise Suppressor is a gate/limiter pedal that processes two audio channels simultaneously, making it suitable for stereo rigs or for cleaning up effects loops. Its threshold control determines the input level at which the gate closes, silencing the signal when it falls below that point, while the release control adjusts how quickly the gate reopens after the signal drops, affecting the natural decay of notes and avoiding abrupt cutoffs. The pedal operates in stereo, with independent left and right inputs and outputs, allowing it to suppress noise on both sides of a stereo signal path without altering the stereo image. A limiter function is also included, which can be engaged to cap the maximum output level, preventing spikes from overdriving downstream equipment. The SU-19 is built in a compact pedal format, powered by a standard DC adapter, and its true bypass switching ensures that when the effect is disengaged, the original signal passes through unaffected.
