Description

The Pearl CE-22 Chorus Ensemble is a compact chorus pedal that generates its effect by splitting the input signal and modulating one path against the dry signal. Its primary controls include a Rate knob, which sets the speed of the pitch modulation, and a Depth knob, which determines how strongly the pitch shifts, producing a thicker or subtler chorusing effect. A Mix or Level control adjusts the balance between the unaffected signal and the modulated signal, allowing for anything from a subtle shimmer to a pronounced, warbling texture. The pedal operates in mono, with a standard input and output, and is powered by a 9V battery or an external DC adapter. Its sturdy metal housing is designed for pedalboard use, and the simple three-knob layout makes it straightforward to dial in a range of chorus tones, from slow, sweeping movement to faster, more rhythmic undulation.
