Description

The Maxon Phase Tone PT-707 is a four-stage phaser that generates its sweeping filter notches through a dedicated LFO. Its Rate control sets the speed of the modulation sweep, while Depth adjusts the intensity of the phase shift, determining how pronounced the notched filtering becomes. A Feedback control regenerates a portion of the signal back through the phase-shift stages, which sharpens the notches and adds a more resonant, vocal-like character to the sweep. The pedal offers a manual mode via a separate control that positions the filter notches at a fixed frequency, allowing the user to dial in a static phaser tone without LFO movement. It operates on a standard 9V DC power supply and includes a bypass switch for true bypass operation, keeping the dry signal uncolored when the effect is disengaged.
