The Electro Harmonix Little Muff is a compact fuzz/distortion pedal that delivers a thick, saturated distortion with a strong sustain characteristic. Its three main controls—Volume, Tone, and Sustain—shape the sound in distinct ways: Volume sets the overall output level, Tone adjusts the high-frequency content from dark to bright, and Sustain controls the amount of fuzz gain and compression, affecting how long notes ring out before decaying. The pedal operates with a standard 9V DC power supply and features a true bypass switching system, ensuring that when the effect is disengaged, the guitar's signal passes through uncolored.
