Description

The Electro Harmonix Attack Equalizer is a compact pedal that shapes tone by blending a clean signal with a band of adjustable midrange emphasis. Its primary control, labeled Attack, sweeps the center frequency of a narrow boost/cut band across the midrange spectrum, allowing the user to target specific frequencies for emphasis or reduction. A second control, labeled Level, adjusts the overall output volume of the effected signal, which can be used to compensate for the perceived loudness change when boosting or cutting mids. The pedal operates in a true bypass configuration, ensuring that when disengaged, the guitar's signal passes through unaffected. It features a standard 1/4-inch input and output jack, and is powered by a 9-volt battery or an optional DC adapter. The Attack Equalizer is designed to add presence or scoop mids, making it useful for shaping a guitar's voice within a mix without altering the fundamental character of the instrument.
