DOD FET Preamp

Description

The DOD FET Preamp is a compact pedal that uses field-effect transistors to emulate the warm, dynamic response of a tube preamp stage. Its single Gain control adjusts the amount of overdrive and compression, from a clean boost at lower settings to a saturated, gritty distortion at higher settings. A separate Level knob sets the overall output volume, allowing the pedal to drive an amplifier's front end harder or to match unity gain when used as an always-on tone shaper. The pedal features a true bypass footswitch, ensuring that when disengaged, the guitar signal passes through unaffected. It operates on a standard 9-volt DC power supply, with no battery compartment, and is housed in a rugged metal enclosure suitable for pedalboards.
