Description
The DOD GFX75 Extreme Stereo Flanger is a multi-function flanger pedal that generates its effect by mixing a delayed, pitch-modulated copy of the input signal with the dry signal. Its primary Rate control determines the speed of the modulation sweep, while Depth sets how far the delayed signal shifts in pitch, producing the characteristic swooshing or jet-like sound. A manual control adjusts the base delay time, which influences the flanger's tonal character and can create comb-filtering effects. The pedal includes a regeneration or feedback control that sends some of the effected signal back through the delay line, intensifying the resonance and creating more metallic or hollow tones. It offers multiple flanger modes, including a standard flanger and a through-zero flanger, which produces a more dramatic, chorus-like effect by allowing the delay time to cross the zero point. The Extreme Stereo Flanger features stereo inputs and outputs, allowing it to process two separate audio signals and produce a wide, spacious stereo image when used with two amplifiers or a stereo effects loop. A bypass switch engages or disengages the effect, and the pedal is powered by a standard 9-volt DC adapter.
