Description

The DeArmond Tornado is a phaser pedal that imparts a sweeping, filter-like modulation to the incoming signal. Its primary control, Rate, governs the speed of the phase-shifting sweep, determining how quickly the notched frequencies rise and fall. A Depth or Intensity control adjusts the strength of the effect, varying how pronounced the sweeping motion is in the output. The pedal blends the dry signal with the phase-shifted signal to create the characteristic swirling texture, and it operates with standard guitar-level input and output connections. The Tornado is housed in a compact, durable enclosure suited for pedalboard use, with a footswitch to engage or bypass the effect.
