Description

The Coron C1 Dynamic Compressor is a pedal-format compressor that reduces the dynamic range of an incoming signal, making quiet notes more prominent and loud peaks less pronounced. Its primary control adjusts the compression ratio, determining how strongly the output level is attenuated as the input level increases. A separate level control compensates for the overall volume reduction caused by compression, allowing the user to match the pedal's output to the bypassed signal level. The pedal operates in mono, with a standard input and output jack for connection in an effects chain. Its compact, pedalboard-friendly enclosure is powered by a standard 9V DC supply, and a bypass switch engages or disengages the compression effect without altering the dry signal path when off.
