Description

The Boot-Leg Jaw Breaker JBK-1.0 is an overdrive pedal that uses a dual-gain architecture to shape its distortion character. Its Drive control sets the amount of gain, ranging from a mild breakup to a saturated crunch, while the Tone knob adjusts the high-frequency content, allowing the user to brighten or darken the overall voicing. A Level control determines the output volume, which can be used to boost an amplifier's front end or match unity gain when the pedal is engaged. The pedal's internal circuitry is designed to respond dynamically to picking attack, with lower Drive settings preserving more of the guitar's natural transient response and higher settings compressing the signal for a thicker sustain. The enclosure is a compact, rugged metal housing with top-mounted jacks for easy pedalboard placement, and it operates on a standard 9V DC power supply with center-negative polarity. No battery compartment is included, so external power is required.
