Description

The Boot-Leg Hizumi HZM-1.2 is an overdrive pedal whose gain structure is shaped by a three-band EQ section, allowing the user to independently adjust bass, middle, and treble frequencies before the clipping stage. A Drive control sets the amount of distortion by increasing the input signal level into the clipping circuit, while a Level control adjusts the overall output volume. The pedal's tone stack interacts with the drive setting, so higher drive levels compress the frequency response, making the EQ more interactive at higher gain settings. True bypass switching removes the circuit from the signal path when disengaged, preserving the dry guitar tone.
