Description

The Boot-Leg Hizumi HZM-1.0 overdrive pedal uses a dual-stage gain architecture, where the first stage shapes the initial breakup and the second stage adds further saturation. A Drive control sets the overall gain, increasing harmonic content and compression as it is turned up. The Tone control adjusts the high-frequency response, rolling off treble when turned counterclockwise and brightening the signal clockwise. A Level control sets the output volume, allowing the pedal to boost or cut the signal relative to the bypassed level. The pedal features true bypass switching, ensuring the dry signal remains uncolored when the effect is off. It operates on a standard 9V DC power supply with center-negative polarity, and no battery compartment is included. The enclosure is a compact, rugged metal housing with top-mounted input and output jacks, saving space on a pedalboard.
