Description

The Ampeg A-5 Flanger is a compact pedal that produces its sweeping, jet-like effect by mixing a delayed copy of the input signal with the dry signal and modulating the delay time. Its Rate control sets the speed of the modulation sweep, while Depth adjusts how far the delayed signal shifts in time, which changes the intensity of the comb-filtering notches that create the flanging sound. A Regeneration control feeds some of the effected signal back into the input, increasing the resonance and making the sweep more pronounced. The pedal includes a manual control that sets the base delay time, allowing the sweep to be centered at different points in the frequency spectrum. It operates with a standard 9V power supply and features a bypass switch to route the signal cleanly when the effect is not in use.
