Dramatic and lush flanger sound
The A/DA Flanger sets the standard by which all other flangers should be judged. It is regarded as the king of flangers by music columnists and players. The A/DA Flanger is capable of producing a wide range of vintage and modern sound colorations, dramatically enhancing the effect of any amplified instrument, voice or percussive device.
The unique capabilities of the A/DA Flanger are numerous and astounding, including effects such as rotating speakers, chilling vibrato, 'jet sounds,' resonance modification, intensified studio flanging and incredible notch filter matrices, to name a few.
The Manual control allows for the setting of static microsecond to millisecond delays, and the Width and Rate controls set the range and speed of the sweeping motion over an extremely wide sonic range. The Enhance control increases the resonance, creating high-Q comb filters, and bizarre metallic effects as well as reverberant decay times. An Even/Odd Harmonics control allows pass-band peaking at even or odd harmonic relationship for 'cardboard tube' and eerie hollow corridor effects.
A Voltage Control input jack allows direct control of time delay with an externally applied voltage or with the optional A/DA Control Pedal-A. It is housed in a heavy-duty cast aluminum chassis.
This particular A/DA Flanger is in good condition given it's age.
It has definite signs of use.
It is one of the first versions made in the first two years of production.
Serial number 221926.
We have looked at this particular unit and it appears that it was made in 1979.
The pedal has a (last) name and phone number scratched into the bottom of it.
For power, it includes the original wall adapter (dated August 1979!) -- the later versions and the reissues all have AC cords for power.
The adapter works fine but is in bad shape. It has electrical tape around the plug end and the wall-wart end of the power cord.
No box or manual is included.
